Fleuron™ MFD-USF is a next-generation soft material engineered for demanding microfluidic and organ-on-chip applications. Designed as a superior alternative to PDMS, MFD-USF combines capillary-scale resolution, optical clarity, and chemical stability with the ease of standard soft-lithography workflows.
MFD-USF enables fabrication of capillary-scale microfluidic channels (1–10 µm) while maintaining the rapid prototyping capabilities researchers expect from PDMS. Unlike PDMS, Fleuron™ exhibits negligible absorption of small hydrophobic molecules, making it particularly well-suited for drug screening, pharmacology studies, and quantitative biological assays.
The material is biocompatible, compatible with organic solvents, and withstands harsh sterilization processes, enabling reliable use in advanced biological experiments and microphysiological systems.
Starter Kit includes:
MFD-USF can be casted to a patterned mold, cured, released and sealed to a substrate to form an enclosed microfluidic device. The material and the adhesion promoter come in uncured, viscous liquid form.
Axoft’s engineering team can assist with the design and fabrication of custom Fleuron™ microfluidic devices tailored to your application.
